Cajon Pass, CA (December 21, 2025) – The California Highway Patrol reports that a motorcyclist died in a fatal multi-vehicle collision with a semi-truck on Friday afternoon along the I-15 Freeway near Summit Avenue. The crash happened around 4:24 p.m. On December 20 in the northbound lanes of the freeway. CHP and medical personnel arrived to discover the rider of a black Honda motorcycle critically injured in the middle lanes. Emergency responders and firefighters aided the motorcyclist, who was taken to a local hospital but was ultimately pronounced dead. Investigators found that two motorcycles were speeding when one—the black Honda—was hit by a semi-truck in the No. 3 lane. The collision resulted in the big rig running over the motorcyclist. A red Ford F-150 towing a trailer was reportedly involved in the crash as well, although the extent of its role is still unclear. At least three northbound lanes remained closed for a prolonged time while crews attended to the victim and cleared the wreckage. The identity of the deceased rider has not been released yet. CHP is ongoing with its investigation to pinpoint the precise cause of the accident.
