Oakland, CA (October 6, 2025) – Several people were injured in a bus accident that took place Friday afternoon at the intersection of 12th St and Castro St in Oakland. The crash occurred at approximately 3:48 p.m. This triggered a swift response from emergency services, with medical teams being sent to assist the injured. Preliminary details suggest that the accident involved a bus on the 22 route, which was heading west on Castro Street when the incident occurred. There was at least one reported injury on the bus, and emergency medical personnel arrived quickly to offer assistance. The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office has reported that emergency medical personnel are assisting the injured, and a second vehicle is still at the scene according to their latest update. Authorities are still collecting information to understand the sequence of events that resulted in the accident.
