This incident occurred on Friday, September 26, at 7:24 PM. Authorities were informed about an incident involving a pedestrian being hit in the 2100 block of Ocean View Boulevard. Officer J. Perales from the San Diego Police Department reported that a 37-year-old individual was driving a 1993 Chevrolet Astro van in a westward direction. Simultaneously, a male pedestrian walked across in front of the car. Upon the officers’ arrival, they ensured the area was safe and managed traffic flow as paramedics evaluated the man’s injuries. The medical team provided care for a brain hemorrhage and a fractured skull sustained by the pedestrian. Subsequently, authorities reported that he was taken to a hospital suffering from injuries that were life-threatening. His identity was not verified right away. Law enforcement searched the area for potential witnesses and nearby surveillance footage to piece together the timeline of events.
