As per information from Oakland Police Dispatch, one driver reported that they dozed off while driving, whereas the other individual suspected that drug use might be involved. There were injuries noted at the location of the incident, with at least one person experiencing cuts. First responders arrived to evaluate the circumstances and offer medical help to the individuals affected. Details regarding the seriousness of the injuries remain unclear; however, early reports suggest that at least one individual needed medical attention at the scene. The event caused a temporary interruption in traffic on Market St while authorities cleared the debris and initiated an official inquiry. Both sides have provided statements, and the officers are examining all relevant information to assess the contributing factors, which may include impairment or fatigue.
