Byron, CA (September 17, 2025) – According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, emergency responders attended to a significant two-car collision in Byron on Monday evening, resulting in injuries to one person. The incident happened around 6:00 p.m. The region near Byron Highway and Holway Drive is a countryside road frequently used by local residents as well as commuters. Officials report that two cars crashed into each other head-on, with the exact details of the incident still unclear. Emergency responders from Contra Costa County Fire and local EMS were on the scene promptly to help those injured. Emergency medical personnel took the person to a nearby hospital for medical care. The patient’s current status has not been disclosed. Authorities stayed at the location to evaluate the damage and start their inquiry into the cause of the front-to-front crash.
