A man lost his life in a hit-and-run incident on East Ramsey Street in Banning, CA. The accident occurred early Thursday morning, September 11, around 5:30 a.m. The incident on East Ramsey Street took place. As reported by the Banning Police Department, the incident occurred at the intersection of East Ramsey Street and Val Monte Street. Officers stated that a motorist driving on East Ramsey noticed the victim lying unconscious in the street and immediately contacted emergency services. Upon their arrival shortly thereafter, law enforcement officials verified that the man had injuries indicative of being hit by a car. Emergency medical personnel from the Riverside County Fire Department declared the individual deceased at the location. The name of the individual has not been made public. That evening, detectives found a red Cadillac STS with damage to the front end parked at an apartment complex on West Westward Avenue. Authorities confiscated the vehicle based on a search warrant and held two people for interrogation before allowing them to go as the investigation continues. Authorities are still investigating the hit-and-run incident on East Ramsey Street, as they strive to locate the driver responsible. Hit-and-run cases are considered serious and complex.
