San Diego, CA (September 7, 2025) – Emergency services from San Diego Fire-Rescue and local EMS teams attended to a traffic collision on Highway 94 Saturday afternoon, resulting in at least one individual sustaining injuries. The accident took place close to the Park Boulevard exit shortly after 4:00 p.m. This sparked a synchronized emergency response on both the eastbound and westbound lanes of the highway. Audio from the dispatch indicated that medical teams swiftly reached the location and started providing assistance to one injured individual at the site. The person was categorized as stable, but additional assessments were conducted to establish if they were able to walk away from the location or if they needed complete transport. Firefighters took measures to divert traffic lanes to safeguard the area and aid in medical assistance. A number of units, such as Engine 11, Truck 11, and Medic 26, were engaged in providing care for patients and managing the scene. The emergency response greatly affected traffic, resulting in temporary lane closures to protect both responders and individuals connected to the accident. Details about the incident, such as the total number of vehicles involved and the precise cause, have not yet been disclosed. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
