A silver Ford and a white Hyundai were involved in a traffic collision on southbound Interstate 605 just south of Peck Road on Sept. 12, 2026. The crash was reported at about 3:33 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol dispatch information.
Both vehicles were reported on the right shoulder of the freeway. The dispatch classified the collision as involving no reported injuries.
The incident occurred within the area covered by the CHP Santa Fe Springs office. CHP assistance was requested after the collision was reported.
A CHP update at about 3:54 p.m. continued to identify the vehicles as a silver Ford and a white Hyundai near the Peck Road area. No lane closure or additional roadway obstruction was noted in the available dispatch information.
