A traffic collision was reported at about 4:47 p.m. Aug. 29 on northbound Interstate 15 near the 6th Street exit in the Riverside area. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a traffic collision with an ambulance en route.
The dispatch location placed the crash on northbound I-15 south of 6th Street, near the freeway exit. CHP did not provide details about the vehicles involved, the number of people affected, or whether any lanes were blocked.
At approximately 4:55 p.m., a towing company was requested to respond to the scene. The dispatch information did not identify the reason towing assistance was needed.
