Sacramento, CA (January 15, 2026) – An individual sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday afternoon at the W El Camino Ave and Gateway Oaks Dr intersection in Sacramento’s South Natomas neighborhood. The incident took place around 4:38 p.m. , amid peak afternoon traffic. Reports indicate the victim was in a vehicle hit by another car that sped away right after the collision. Eyewitnesses reported the suspect’s vehicle as a dark sedan traveling eastbound on El Camino Ave. Emergency responders arrived promptly to aid the injured person, who suffered multiple injuries in the crash. The victim was subsequently taken to a local hospital for additional assessment. Authorities have not revealed the severity of the injuries or the person’s current status. Sacramento police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash, including a review of surveillance video from nearby businesses to identify the driver who fled the scene.
