Long Beach, CA (January 11, 2026) – Emergency services responded to a serious six-vehicle collision early Saturday morning at the Alamitos Ave and East 4th St intersection in Long Beach. The incident took place at approximately 12:04 a.m. It occurred on January 10 and caused multiple injuries, including at least one person who was unconscious. Engine 8 and several medical units responded quickly to the scene. A single vehicle was discovered flipped over, with numerous airbags deployed in various involved cars. First responders gave immediate treatment to the injured, including one patient who was initially unresponsive but later started showing signs of breathing. Early reports cited a bystander referencing a fight near the crash site, but it was later confirmed they were not involved. Witnesses reported that one of the vehicles might have run a red light, causing the chain-reaction crash. Several patients received treatment at the scene, as emergency crews swiftly stabilized the victims and transported them for additional care. The precise count of injured people has not been disclosed yet. Traffic in the intersection faced major delays as emergency crews removed the debris and launched their probe.
