(Long Beach, CA) A crash at Sixth Street and Atlantic Avenue on the night of Sunday, January 4, claimed the lives of two individuals and injured three others. Officials were notified of the incident around 10:15 p.m. , which involved three vehicles. Police report that a vehicle traveling eastbound at high speed on Sixth Street collided with two vehicles heading south on Atlantic Avenue. This led to one of the vehicles flipping over in the middle of the road. The driver suspect escaped before the officers got there. First responders declared a man and a woman dead at the scene, while three other adults were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Review on the Sixth Street Accident. Since this collision involved a driver allegedly speeding through an intersection, investigators frequently examine California’s Basic Speed Law. This law mandates that all drivers maintain speeds appropriate to the conditions, such as traffic, road layout, and visibility.
