On September 11, 2025, in Stockton, CA, a young student was injured Wednesday morning in an incident involving a school bus at Manlio Silva Elementary School, located close to Scott Creek Dr. The accident took place at approximately 7:56 a.m., as reported by the San Joaquin County Fire and the California Highway Patrol. At the school location on 6250 Scott Creek Dr., dispatch audio indicated that a school bus was part of a minor incident while navigating a turn on the premises. A student on the bus reportedly sustained scratches on their knee and cheek due to the incident. Initially classified as a non-injury collision (CHP Code 1182), paramedics who arrived at the scene evaluated the student and administered basic care. It was decided that hospital transport was not required. There were no injuries reported among other students or staff, and the bus stayed at the location while school officials and police conducted their initial assessment. The bus driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. Authorities have not revealed if any tickets were given or if the driver will encounter any consequences. The event had little effect on local traffic, but worried parents started arriving at the school shortly after hearing the news. We send our best wishes to the student and their family, wishing for a quick recovery.
