A hit-and-run collision was reported early Aug. 15 on southbound Interstate 5 near the Fremont Street off-ramp in California. The incident was recorded at 1:27 a.m., and no injuries were reported in the CHP dispatch.
The location was identified as the southbound side of I-5 at the Fremont Street off-ramp. CHP’s initial classification described the crash as a traffic collision with unknown injuries.
At 1:32 a.m., CHP updated the incident classification to a hit-and-run collision involving no injuries. The dispatch did not provide descriptions of the vehicles involved or identify a suspected driver.
The available CHP information also did not specify whether the collision caused lane closures, roadway obstructions or a significant traffic delay. No additional emergency response or transportation information was listed in the dispatch.
