Santa Maria, CA (October 21, 2025) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a motorcycle on Saturday evening in Santa Maria, as reported by the Santa Maria Police Department. The accident took place shortly after 8:30 p.m. On October 18, at the crossing of Broadway and Williams St., officials reported that a 25-year-old man was walking in a designated crosswalk when he was hit by a motorcycle. Both the pedestrian and the motorcyclist suffered significant injuries and were taken to Marian Medical Center for urgent medical treatment. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and was declared dead soon after reaching the hospital. Meanwhile, the motorcyclist is in the hospital with serious injuries, but updates on their health status have not yet been disclosed. Authorities have not disclosed the identities of the individuals involved as the inquiry is ongoing. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of the pedestrian who tragically lost their life in this incident, and we hope for a swift recovery for the injured cyclist.
