San Jose, CA (March 22, 2026) – One teenage cyclist died and another was hurt in an e-bike accident on Thursday afternoon, March 19, in San Jose. Police arrived at the Remington Way and Allenwood Drive intersection shortly before 1:10 p.m. following reports of a single-rider e-bike accident. Authorities reported that a juvenile male was riding a Magnum Cosmo electric bicycle with another juvenile as a passenger. The e-bike was heading north near the intersection when it lost control and slid to the ground. Emergency services arrived on site and offered assistance to both people. The operator was transported to the hospital and subsequently pronounced dead. The passenger received on-site treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening. The names of those involved have not been disclosed. Officials are still probing the reason behind the crash, with additional information to be shared once it’s ready.
