San Gabriel, CA (October 2, 2025) – A man was killed early Wednesday after being hit by a car while crossing traffic in San Gabriel, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The deadly incident took place at roughly 1:55 AM at the intersection of Rosemead Blvd and Huntington Dr. According to officials, the man was running across the street when he was struck by a Hyundai Ioniq sedan. Emergency responders found him on top of the vehicle after the accident. Unfortunately, he was declared dead at the location because of the extent of his injuries. The identity of the individual has not been disclosed as the family has yet to be informed. The woman who was driving the Hyundai stayed at the location and worked with the authorities. Currently, there is no evidence suggesting that impairment or speed contributed to the accident, but the CHP is still looking into the events that led to the incident. Traffic was briefly disrupted as law enforcement worked to secure the area and initiate their investigation. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the victim’s family during this extremely challenging period.
