San Francisco, CA (February 2, 2026) – A motorcyclist was injured in an accident Monday evening near Mission Street, by the intersections of Onondaga Avenue and France Avenue in San Francisco. The incident was reported at around 6:12 p.m. It caught the attention of authorities after a rider was injured in the incident. Dispatch reports show the motorcyclist was riding along Mission Street when a car door swung open into his path. The abrupt contact struck the rider’s hand, leading to noticeable bleeding and instant worry about the injury. People at the scene called authorities to report the incident and ask for help. Emergency responders arrived to evaluate the motorcyclist, who had multiple injuries mainly to his hand. Responders provided care at the scene while assessing the injury’s severity and deciding if additional medical treatment was required. The area near Mission Street and France Avenue saw short-term activity as the incident was handled. Authorities have not disclosed further information about the events preceding the accident. An inquiry continues into the events that took place.
