San Diego, CA (January 30, 2026) – Emergency dispatch reports indicate that a 22-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in a vehicle collision near Frost Street on Wednesday evening, January 29, around 6:07 p.m., leading to a trauma activation and her hospitalization. Officials reported that the woman was hit from behind by another vehicle driven by someone who had been driving erratically before the collision. The collision inflicted substantial damage to the vehicle and caused the victim multiple injuries. Paramedics from Sharp Medic 254 responded to the scene, where they found the woman suffering from left-sided weakness and pain in her lower extremities. She also complained of head, neck, and back pain and confirmed a brief loss of consciousness during the crash. She had her seatbelt on at the time. Given the seriousness of her injuries and the abnormal sensations in her lower body, the patient was taken to a trauma center for additional assessment and treatment. No further injuries or vehicles were reported in relation to the incident. Officials are still probing the collision and the involved driver’s conduct prior to the crash.
