San Diego, CA (December 22, 2025) – Dispatch reports from emergency medical responders indicate that an 81-year-old woman was injured in a hit-and-run crash near Mesa College Drive in San Diego on Sunday night. The incident took place around 9:00 p.m. Op 21 december. First responders reached the location and discovered the woman along with multiple family members positioned on the sidewalk close to the accident site. A woman riding in the back passenger seat of a four-door sedan was injured when another vehicle hit the car’s rear passenger side and then sped away from the scene. She sustained a contusion on the back of her head and bruising with swelling on her right knee. Paramedics provided on-scene treatment before transferring her to Sharp Memorial Hospital for further care. She stayed alert and responsive, with no reported loss of consciousness or airbag deployment. Authorities have not disclosed a description of the suspect vehicle, and the driver is still at large.
