The California Highway Patrol recorded the incident as a non-injury traffic collision. The dispatch information did not identify the vehicles involved or describe damage.
At about 3:02 p.m., CHP dispatch instructed personnel to keep both communication logs open while the precise location of the collision was clarified. The update indicated that additional information about where the crash occurred would be provided after a unit arrived.
No lane closures, traffic delays, medical responses or towing activity were documented in the available dispatch information. The CHP log provided no further details about the circumstances of the collision.
