San Diego, CA (December 22, 2025) – Dispatch reports indicate that a 27-year-old pregnant woman was injured in a motor vehicle crash Sunday evening near Health Center Drive, triggering an immediate medical response amid her advanced pregnancy. The incident took place around 6:25 p.m. Op 21 december. Emergency responders arrived at the site where a 37-weeks-pregnant woman reported severe lower abdominal pain after a head-on crash. She was riding as a restrained front-seat passenger when another vehicle reportedly pulled out in front of hers, causing a collision involving the front and driver’s side. Upon arrival, medics found the patient alert and sitting upright after self-extricating from the vehicle. Although there were no apparent signs of external injury, she reported considerable abdominal pain in the pelvic region. On-site medical staff treated her before transferring her to Sharp Mary Birch Hospital, where she already gets prenatal care. Dispatch logs indicated that the patient had a history of possible fetal heart issues and was at risk for childbirth complications. During transport, her vital signs were stable, and she stayed conscious. Authorities have not released additional information regarding the other vehicle involved or any possible citations.
