San Diego, CA (September 10, 2025) – Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene of a traffic collision with injuries reported on Interstate 15 southbound early on Wednesday morning. The accident took place close to the southbound on- and off-ramps of State Route 163, causing a disturbance in morning traffic and leading to a comprehensive emergency response from San Diego Fire and Rescue. Emergency medical personnel and firefighters reached the scene soon after 6:09 a.m. and put in hard work to help several individuals hurt in the highway accident. The incident was first communicated through dispatch as happening at the interchange close to the SR-163 ramps, which is known for being particularly congested during morning rush hour. Although the exact types of vehicles involved have not been revealed, the incident included several participants and obstructed multiple lanes, causing considerable delays on the southbound side of I-15.
