Los Angeles, CA (March 13, 2026) – One individual was transported to a hospital following a traffic crash on Thursday afternoon, March 12, at the W Century Blvd and S Vermont Ave intersection in Los Angeles’ Westmont neighborhood. Emergency responders arrived around 5:12 p.m. after reports that two vehicles, and possibly a pedestrian, were involved in the crash. Responders offered medical care at the scene before taking one individual with minor injuries to a hospital. Authorities have not disclosed information regarding the crash’s cause or circumstances. The intersection was briefly disrupted as emergency teams handled the incident. Officials are still probing the crash, with further information to follow once it’s ready. We’re thinking of those injured as they receive medical care. Why Intersection Crashes Often Result in Injuries. Intersection accidents are frequent since vehicles turn, stop, and cross paths from various directions. Drivers might misjudge gaps, neglect to yield, or get distracted, raising the risk of crashes. Even impacts at low speeds can lead to injuries, especially for pedestrians or unrestrained occupants. Safety features in vehicles, such as airbags and seat belts, can lessen injury severity, yet the abrupt impact of a crash may still result in damage. Factors like road conditions, traffic density, and visibility also influence accident outcomes.
