A hit-and-run incident involving a rideshare vehicle was reported Tuesday afternoon on southbound Interstate 405 at Beach Boulevard in the Westminster area. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as involving no reported injuries.
The incident was reported at about 3:26 p.m. on Aug. 18, 2026, at the southbound freeway lanes near Beach Boulevard. CHP dispatch identified the location as southbound 405 at Beach Boulevard.
A later dispatch update indicated that the rideshare vehicle may have been picking up passengers near the scene. The information did not specify the circumstances of the collision or identify another vehicle involved.
CHP received the update at approximately 3:29 p.m. No injuries were reported in the dispatch information, and no additional details about the hit-and-run were provided.
