San Diego, CA (September 7, 2025) – On Saturday morning, emergency responders were dispatched to a traffic collision that resulted in injuries, occurring near the Atrium Apartments on 16th Street in downtown San Diego. The event took place just before 1:45 a.m. A coordinated response from paramedics and fire units was triggered. San Diego City Police and Fire dispatched Engine 7 to the area near the intersection of 16th St and Imperial Ave, near K St. The incident was categorized using the “7 Hotel” and “7 India” EMS response codes, which signify a traffic accident with moderate injuries. When first responders arrived, they provided medical aid to at least one person injured in the incident. The status of the individual and the total count of vehicles involved remain unverified. The victim received care at the location and was probably taken to a nearby hospital for additional treatment. The vicinity around the Atrium Apartments faced short interruptions while emergency personnel handled the situation. The cause of the crash has not been disclosed by authorities, and local police continue to investigate the matter.
