San Diego, CA (October 23, 2025) – A significant traffic collision resulting in injuries occurred on Tuesday evening close to the Rocket Gas Station in the Encanto area of San Diego. The accident took place at approximately 8:40 PM. Near Imperial Ave, near the junction of 68th St and 69th St, emergency services from the San Diego Police and Fire departments rapidly arrived at the location to respond to a serious accident that led to various injuries among several people. Emergency responders offered prompt care to those injured at the scene, with at least one individual needing to be taken to a nearby hospital for additional assessment. The accident led to short-term interruptions around the gas station, as emergency services and medical staff blocked lanes to support the victims and ensure safety in the vicinity. Observers recounted a tumultuous situation with blinking lights and significant traffic congestion on Imperial Ave in the evening. At this time, details regarding the number of vehicles involved or any possible causes have not been disclosed. Investigators are looking into the factors behind the accident, assessing if speed, distraction, or other conditions contributed to it.
