San Diego, CA (January 28, 2026) – Early Tuesday morning, a 62-year-old man was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital following injuries from a multi-vehicle crash near Frost Street in San Diego. The incident happened when his sedan, reportedly stopped in traffic, was rear-ended and driven into the vehicle in front of it. After the collision, he started to feel pain in his neck and lower back. Medics responding to the scene observed noticeable swelling in both regions along with mild redness, but no external bruising or abrasions. As a precaution given the injury type, paramedics fitted the man with a C-collar and positioned him supine. During assessment, he was alert and oriented. His vital signs remained stable, showing a blood pressure of 162/78, a heart rate of 70, and oxygen saturation of 100% on room air. EMS staff established IV access and monitored his condition during transport. The man was transported to Sharp Memorial as a special trauma patient. His medical history featured a possible blood thinner, although he wasn’t certain if he was still taking it. Authorities are ongoing in their investigation into the crash’s cause and have yet to disclose details about the other drivers involved.
