Salinas, CA (November 3, 2025) – On Monday morning, emergency responders attended to a two-car accident on northbound U.S. Highway 101 just north of Market Street in Salinas, where injuries were reported. The incident happened around 9:31 a.m. involving a blue SUV—likely a Toyota—and another vehicle. Both vehicles managed to move to the side of the road after the collision. Officers from the California Highway Patrol and personnel from the Salinas Fire Department arrived shortly after to evaluate the situation. All individuals were said to be out of the vehicles by the time the emergency crews got there. Healthcare professionals assessed the individuals for injuries, but the full extent of the injuries has not yet been determined. Certain emergency units were called off after the initial assessment, suggesting the injuries were likely minor. Traffic on northbound US-101 was temporarily affected while authorities handled the situation and ensured the safety of everyone involved.
