Salinas, CA (December 10, 2025) – A pedestrian tragedy occurred on Sunday evening at the intersection of Main Street and Hardin Parkway in Salinas, resulting in the untimely death of a woman. The deadly crash happened at approximately 6:00 p.m. The victim was identified by the Monterey County Coroner’s Office as 65-year-old Carmen Nava, who lived in Salinas, according to local authorities. Upon receiving reports of a vehicular collision involving a pedestrian, emergency personnel promptly came to the location. Even though Nava received life-saving assistance, she tragically passed away from her wounds at the scene. Authorities have yet to provide details about the driver or the events that led to the accident. The intersection was temporarily shut down as investigators collected evidence and documented the scene. Authorities are still looking into the cause of the incident.
