Sacramento, CA (February 17, 2026) – The California Highway Patrol reports that at least two people were hurt in a four-vehicle collision early Monday on the Auburn Boulevard on-ramp to southbound SR-51 in North Sacramento. The collision was reported at 3:803 a.m. on Monday, February 16. Near the westbound Interstate 80 on-ramp transition. Initial reports show multiple vehicles collided after hitting heavy flooding on the entrance ramp. Officials stated that a blue Dodge Ram pickup truck was obstructing the ramp, with a blue Toyota 4Runner and at least two additional vehicles also implicated. Vehicles reportedly halted suddenly on the flooded road, triggering a multi-car pileup. The on-ramp was submerged deeply enough to pose an immediate traffic hazard to drivers approaching it. Sacramento Fire personnel arrived at the scene and transported at least two injured people to Mercy San Juan Medical Center. One patient arrived complaining of leg pain, while another was brought in with chest pain complaints. Authorities have not revealed the total number of individuals assessed for injuries.
