Sacramento, CA (March 15, 2026) – A single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on SR 99 near Pringle Ave in South Sacramento left one person dead and another seriously injured. The incident happened around 2:44 a.m. On the 14th of March. Emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle that veered off the roadway in the southbound lanes of SR 99. Preliminary reports show the car was heading southbound when it left the road. The car hit a guardrail and flipped over. The passenger in the vehicle was declared dead at the scene. The driver sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities indicated that alcohol is suspected to have contributed to the crash. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed. Officials are still probing the reason behind the accident, with further information to be shared once it emerges.
