Sacramento, CA (October 4, 2025) – Reports from the Sacramento Police Department indicate that a woman died after being hit by a car on Thursday evening in midtown Sacramento. The deadly pedestrian accident took place at approximately 6:30 in the evening. Emergency medical responders swiftly reached the scene on 29th Street close to K Street and took the woman to a local hospital due to severe injuries. Although medical personnel made every effort to save her, she was ultimately declared dead. The driver stayed at the location and worked with investigators. Authorities shut down 29th St between K St and adjacent intersections for several hours while the Sacramento Police Department carried out a thorough investigation at the scene. Traffic was redirected to different routes while officers collected evidence from the scene and interviewed witnesses. Currently, no additional information regarding the cause of the accident or the woman’s identity has been revealed.
