Hit-and-run collisions on busy freeways like SR-91 often create sudden hazards, especially when vehicles block high-occupancy lanes. Investigators typically review lane changes, vehicle damage, and witness statements to determine how the crash occurred.. When a vehicle strikes a center divider, debris can scatter across multiple lanes. This increases the risk of secondary crashes and may require a quick response to secure the roadway. Even when injuries appear minor, medical evaluation is common.. Freeway interchanges near major roads like Van Buren Blvd carry steady traffic throughout the morning. Maintaining safe speeds and checking blind spots before changing lanes can help reduce the likelihood of similar incidents.
