Riverside, CA (January 24, 2026) – Emergency services responded to a traffic collision involving injuries on Friday evening at the Summit St and Mountain Ave intersection in Riverside. The incident took place around 8:18 p.m. …which prompted a Bravo-level response from Engine 72 and supporting units. Upon arrival, Riverside Fire Department personnel began assessing those involved in the collision. Although the precise count of injured people and the extent of their injuries haven’t been officially disclosed, medical personnel were observed administering treatment at the scene. At least one individual reportedly suffered injuries that needed medical treatment. The intersection at Summit St and Mountain Ave saw brief delays while crews evaluated the incident, aided the injured, and cleared the site safely. Authorities have yet to disclose details on the number of vehicles involved or any possible contributing factors. The Riverside Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. Officers are gathering witness statements and investigating any road or environmental conditions that might have contributed.
