In Long Beach, California, a 35-year-old man named Raul Augustin Gallopa sadly suffered fatal injuries in a car accident on East Fourth Street earlier this month, according to the authorities. The Long Beach Police Department reported that the accident took place at approximately 8:88 p.m. on October 6 close to East Fourth Street and Bonito Avenue. Initial reports suggest that Gallopa cycled east along Fourth Street. While trying to make a turn towards the north on Bonito Avenue, Gallopa was hit by a 2021 BMW 330i traveling fast. Upon their arrival, the officers discovered Gallopa to be unconscious on the road. Paramedics took him to a local hospital in critical condition, but he died two days later, as reported by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. The driver was identified by police as 24-year-old Ahkeyajahnique Owens from Long Beach. She stayed at the location and was taken into custody on suspicion of reckless driving.
