Monterey Park, CA (February 27, 2026) – A collision between two vehicles on westbound SR-60 east of the Pomona Blvd off-ramp occurred Saturday, February 28, blocking several lanes and requiring an injury response. The crash involved a white Ford C-Max and a blue Volkswagen Tiguan. The Volkswagen was reported as blocking the freeway’s middle lanes after the crash. Emergency services arrived at the location, and the Monterey Park Fire Department was notified about potential injuries. The severity of those injuries remains unconfirmed. Crews worked to remove the disabled vehicles from the road. Attempts were made to relocate the obstructing vehicles to the 710 freeway in order to improve traffic on the westbound 60. Responding units eventually cleared the scene and closed the incident. The crash’s cause is still being investigated, with more details anticipated as the review proceeds.
