(Phoenix, AZ) A man sustained life-threatening injuries in an early Wednesday, December 24, collision on 16th Street after a vehicle struck him at the 16th Street and Broadway Road intersection. Officers arrived just before 7 a.m. and discovered the pedestrian badly injured. Firefighters quickly took him to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care. According to police, the driver remained at the scene. At this point in the investigation, authorities do not believe impairment was a factor. Police shut down the intersection in all directions for several hours while detectives processed the scene. Officials urged motorists to steer clear of the area because of traffic delays. No additional information regarding the victim’s identity or situation has been disclosed. Summary of the 16th Street Collision.
