(Chula Vista, CA) A woman believed to be in her late 50s died Thursday evening, January 22, after a vehicle struck her in an accident on Moss Street. The Chula Vista Police Department stated that officers arrived just before 6 p.m. to the 500 block of Moss St. They got reports about a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman lying in the roadway suffering from severe injuries. Paramedics administered emergency medical treatment and transported her to a nearby hospital. Even after treatment, she ultimately succumbed to her injuries. Police stated that the woman’s identity has not been disclosed until her family is notified. Investigators noted that the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Authorities have not disclosed the driver’s identity or information regarding the vehicle.
