Oceanside, CA (October 22, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on northbound Interstate 5 near the Mercedes dealership in Oceanside left one person injured Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol – Border Division.
The crash was reported around 1:55 p.m. on October 20. Authorities stated that a silver Mercedes and a dark gray vehicle collided near the 478 College Blvd off-ramp. One individual sustained injuries and was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment.
Responders noted reflective metal debris in the right lane following the crash, prompting additional cleanup efforts and caution advisories for approaching drivers.
The specific cause of the accident remains under investigation, and no further details have been released about the vehicles’ occupants or the extent of injuries. Traffic in the area was briefly slowed as emergency teams responded to the scene and ensured the roadway was safe for travel.
