North Sacramento, CA (September 10, 2025) – On Monday morning, a man was fatally injured after being hit by a car while walking on a major street in North Sacramento, as reported by the Sacramento Police Department. The tragic event occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. On September 8, close to the junction of El Camino Ave and Van Ness St, a man was struck by a vehicle while he was walking along El Camino Ave, according to initial accounts. Emergency responders arrived quickly and took the injured individual to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention. Unfortunately, he eventually passed away due to his injuries. The identity of the individual has not been disclosed pending notification of their relatives. Officials have confirmed that the driver involved stayed at the location and is cooperating with the ongoing inquiry. Following the accident, authorities closed El Camino Ave from Van Ness to Taft streets to gather evidence and maintain public safety throughout the investigation.
