Nice, CA (September 12, 2025) – A woman was injured in a head-on collision late Thursday morning on Highway 20 near Stokes Rd in Nice, a community in Lake County, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The accident took place at approximately 10:51 AM on September 11, involving a Ford Edge and a Chevrolet Malibu. Initial reports suggest that the vehicles crashed into each other face-to-face while moving in opposite directions on a segment of Hwy 20 that is frequently utilized by both residents and passing motorists. Both cars sustained considerable damage to their front ends due to the incident. The California Highway Patrol and medical staff quickly arrived at the location. Emergency personnel helped the wounded woman, who was subsequently taken to a local hospital for further care. Her present status has not been disclosed, but officials stated she was responsive when emergency personnel arrived. Authorities temporarily shut down sections of the highway to facilitate emergency operations and clean up debris. Traffic was redirected while the investigation continues.
