Los Angeles, CA (September 13, 2024) – On Friday evening, a bicyclist sustained injuries in a traffic accident that took place close to the heavily-traveled intersection of Westwood Blvd and Le Conte Ave in the Westwood area of Los Angeles. The incident was reported around 7:30 p.m. This triggered a Code 3 emergency response, which means that both LAPD and ambulance teams activated their lights and sirens. As per the dispatch communications from the West Division, a cyclist was hit near Westwood and Le Conte, a busy area close to UCLA and major healthcare facilities. Emergency responders reached the scene promptly to offer medical help to the injured cyclist, who sustained multiple injuries from the incident. Emergency personnel assessed the victim at the location before preparing to transport them to a nearby hospital for additional evaluation and care. Information about the vehicle involved has not been disclosed yet, and the exact circumstances surrounding the accident are still unknown. LAPD officers stayed at the location until evening to conduct an investigation and collect information from nearby witnesses.
