Los Angeles, CA (October 1, 2025) – On Tuesday afternoon, a woman sustained injuries after being hit by a car in a residential area of South Los Angeles, leading to a response from police and paramedics. The incident took place at approximately 4:05 p.m. On September 30, at the crossing of S Freeman Ave and W 101st St, the California Highway Patrol reported that a passenger vehicle struck a female pedestrian, though the exact circumstances of the incident remain unclear. The Inglewood Police Department was the initial responder and called for further support from the California Highway Patrol and emergency medical teams. The wounded pedestrian was taken to Centinela Hospital soon after the incident, where she received treatment for minor injuries, which included a wrist injury. Officials verified that her injuries were not severe. While the accident caused only light physical damage, it probably caused some traffic delays in the vicinity during the response. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and it is still unclear if factors like speed, distraction, or poor visibility contributed to it.
