Long Beach, CA (December 30, 2025) – A 26-year-old man suffered injuries Monday afternoon when he was hit by a vehicle near the East 15th Street and Cherry Avenue intersection in Long Beach. The event took place at approximately 3:54 p.m. Emergency response from Long Beach Fire and Police units was involved. The pedestrian was found conscious and breathing at the scene, though reporting pain in his spine. Dispatch audio indicates that the driver stayed at the scene as first responders arrived. Paramedics evaluated the injured man and started administering medical treatment for his reported back injuries. The crash site in the 90813 ZIP code area saw brief emergency responder activity as the investigation and care proceeded. Authorities have not released additional information about the circumstances preceding the collision, which is still being actively investigated by local officials.
