Long Beach, CA (February 22, 2026) – An elderly woman was critically injured early Saturday morning during a house fire in Long Beach. The incident was reported around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, in the 4600 block of E Goldfield Ave.. Emergency units responded to assist with the residential fire. Upon arrival, crews found a female adult inside the home who was unresponsive. She was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.. Firefighters were able to put out the flames within minutes of arriving at the scene. A witness reported seeing the front porch fully engulfed and said he and another person attempted to alert anyone inside by yelling and banging on windows.. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
