Rowland Heights, CA (February 22, 2026) – A hit-and-run crash with injuries was reported early Sunday morning at the intersection of Fullerton Rd and Sordello St. The collision was first logged around 4:50 a.m. on February 22.. Emergency units responded to find a silver Kia stopped in the middle of the roadway with significant damage. The vehicle’s right front axle was reported broken, leaving it unable to move. The damaged Kia was later relocated to Sordello St just east of Fullerton Rd while crews worked the scene.. Authorities indicated the crash involved a hit-and-run. Details about the suspect vehicle have not been released. Tow services were requested to remove the disabled car from the roadway.. Traffic in the area was briefly affected as responders assisted those involved and cleared the intersection. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available. We are thinking of those injured as they receive medical care.. Why Hit-and-Run Crashes at Intersections Raise Safety Concerns. Intersections like Fullerton Rd and Sordello St can become high-risk areas for collisions, especially during early morning hours when visibility may be reduced. When a vehicle is left disabled in the roadway, it increases the risk of secondary crashes.. Hit-and-run incidents create additional challenges. Without the other driver present, investigators must rely on physical evidence, surveillance footage, and witness accounts to determine what happened.. Damage such as a broken axle suggests a strong impact, even if injuries are described as minor. Clearing disabled vehicles quickly and gathering accurate information are key steps in reducing further danger to drivers traveling through the area.
