On October 18, 2025, in Long Beach, CA, there was a traffic accident resulting in injuries that took place late Friday afternoon close to the intersection of Cherry Avenue and the 91 Freeway. The accident was reported around 4:40 PM. The incident involved at least two people, one of whom was a child. Emergency responders from Long Beach Fire and Rescue arrived and discovered a dark blue car that had noticeable damage. Paramedics quickly attended to an injured child and another adult who were involved in the accident. Both individuals were assessed on-site and then taken to a nearby hospital for additional care. Details about their present conditions are not yet available. The accident led to delays for westbound drivers on the 91 Freeway close to the Cherry Avenue onramp while officials conducted an investigation and handled the situation. Motorists in the vicinity faced hold-ups as emergency services managed the situation and removed obstacles from the road. Authorities have not disclosed information about what led to the accident, but reports indicate that several individuals sustained injuries. The investigation is being handled by the Long Beach Police Department, which will provide further updates as they arise.
