Lancaster, CA (January 16, 2026) – A pedestrian was injured in a reported traffic collision Thursday evening near the intersection of 30th St W and Avenue I in Lancaster. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the scene soon after 7:30 p.m. After reports of a person hit by a vehicle, radio dispatch reported the collision involved a pedestrian and called for an immediate medical response. Ambulance services reached the scene to treat the injured person, but details about the victim’s condition remain unconfirmed. The individual was taken to a nearby hospital for additional assessment and care. Deputies briefly closed off sections of the area during their investigation at the scene. It’s currently unclear what caused the incident or if the driver stayed at the scene, although early reports didn’t indicate a hit-and-run. Officials are still examining the details of the crash.
