Irvine, CA (January 24, 2026) – Emergency responders arrived Friday afternoon at a crash with injuries on southbound Interstate 405 north of Culver Drive in Irvine. The incident took place at approximately 4:27 p.m. , which led to the deployment of both engine and truck units to the scene because of the reported seriousness of the incident. Paramedics and firefighters arrived promptly to evaluate the situation and deliver medical assistance to those affected. While the precise count of injuries and damaged vehicles remains unconfirmed, the collision caused traffic delays during the peak afternoon rush hour. The incident occurred on a busy section of I-405, leading to brief slowdowns as emergency crews attended to the wounded and cleared the road. At least one individual reportedly suffered injuries that needed medical treatment. California Highway Patrol officials are probing the cause of the collision. They are presently collecting evidence and witness statements to figure out what caused the collision. No further information on contributing factors or sources has been made public yet.
